Jonathan Charrier is the founder of Charrier Global Imports, a Montreal-based company dedicated to bringing high-quality specialty foods and artisanal goods from around the world to North American markets. His work centers on ethical sourcing, cultural preservation, and building sustainable relationships with small producers.
Raised in Montreal’s Rosemont neighborhood, Jonathan grew up surrounded by diverse cuisines and traditions that shaped his appreciation for craftsmanship and global culture. After studying international business, he spent several years traveling through Europe, South America, and North Africa, working alongside artisans and cooperatives. These experiences inspired him to launch Charrier Global Imports in 2012, starting with a small warehouse in Mile End and growing into a respected supplier for boutiques, restaurants, and specialty retailers across North America.
